How do I track returned orders?

Open Returns tracking. It lists every website order whose status is Return, with the courier, tracking ID and amount, and a Return Status you set yourself to follow each return to the end.

Where to find it

Admin › Online store › Shipping & returns › Returns tracking

The page belongs to the Website orders feature. The link shows in the sidebar for logins that also have Products & stock. The store owner always sees it.

How it works

An order appears here as soon as its status is changed to Return. The list shows 30 orders to a page, newest first, with these columns:

Column What it shows
Invoice ID The order's invoice number
Date Order / Order Time When it was ordered
Customers Name, address and phone
Product SKU The SKU of each product
Status The order status (return)
Payment Status Whether it was paid
Return Status Your own note on the return: Paid, Processing or Unpaid
Assign User The staff member the order was given to
Courier Courier name, tracking ID and area
Amount The order total in taka

Step by step

  1. Open Returns tracking.
  2. To find one order, type the invoice number (or a return status) in the search box and press Submit.
  3. To update returns, tick the orders and press Status Change.
  4. Choose Paid, Processing or Unpaid and press Submit.

Use the Return Status the way that suits your shop. For example, Rangdhanu Fashion uses Processing while the parcel is on its way back and Paid once the courier has settled the return charge.

Good to know

  • A blank Return Status shows as "Unpaid".
  • Stock: when one order's status is changed to Return, its goods go back to stock.
  • Not a sale: a returned order never counts as a Facebook Purchase.
  • Changing the order itself: the action icons on each line open the order and its edit page.
  • The same orders are also in Admin › Online store › Website orders › Return.

Common problems

  • A returned parcel is not in the list. Its status is not Return yet. Change the order's status first.
  • The link is missing in your sidebar. Your login needs Website orders (and Products & stock for the link). Ask the owner in Users & logins.
