On a busy day one person cannot call and confirm every website order. Order distribution gives each new website order to one of your Store Managers in turn, by the share you set. While it is on, each Store Manager sees only the orders given to them, and the office still sees everything.
Where to find it
Admin › Online store › Website orders › Order distribution (অনলাইন স্টোর › ওয়েবসাইটের অর্ডার › অর্ডার বণ্টন). The store owner, the Admin and the Manager see it. It is off in every store until someone turns it on.
How it works
Who gets the next order. Each person who is on has a share. The next order goes to the person who is furthest behind their share today. With 5 people on equal shares, 100 orders give 20 each. With shares 50, 30 and 20, they get about 50, 30 and 20. The count starts again every morning, so a day off does not leave anyone "owed" orders.
Who is on the list. People of your store who have the Website orders tick and are not part of the office: usually Store Managers, and Moderators or others you gave that tick.
The office is never given orders. The store owner, Admin, Manager, Marketing Manager and Courier Manager always see every website order. So does anyone with the Order distribution tick.
Which orders are shared.
- Every new order from the shop, a landing page or the checkout.
- An order a Store Manager enters in the admin panel is theirs. One the office enters is shared like a shop order.
- An incomplete order (a customer who left the checkout) is not shared. Every order person can see and call it. When one of them turns it into a real order, it becomes theirs.
Example: Rangdhanu Fashion runs an Eid campaign with three Store Managers. The owner switches on order distribution with shares 40, 30 and 30. By the evening 200 orders have come: about 80, 60 and 60 each. Each Store Manager works only on their own list, and the owner sees all 200.
Good to know
- Off is the old way. With distribution off, everyone with Website orders sees every order.
- Each order keeps its history: who it went to, when, and why (new order, moved by the office, shared out, moved on by itself).
- The bell tells a Store Manager only about orders given to them.
- Your store only. Only your own staff can be on your list or be given your orders.
Common problems
- New orders are with nobody. Nobody was on the list when they came. Switch at least one person on; the waiting orders are then given out by themselves within a minute.
- A Store Manager says orders are missing. That is how it works while distribution is on: they see only their own. The office can move orders to them.
