While order distribution is on, a Store Manager works only on their own orders. The website order lists, the counts and every tool on them show the orders given to that person, plus the incomplete orders everyone can call. Their dashboard shows how many came in today.
Where to find it
- Admin › Online store › Website orders (the status lists): their own orders only.
- Their dashboard (the first link in Admin › My workspace): the My orders today cards.
How it works
In the order lists.
- Each status list and its count shows only the orders given to them.
- Search, the date filter, the trash, print, export and the Order report work on their own orders only.
- Incomplete orders stay open to everyone, so any of them can call a customer who left the checkout.
- An order they enter in the admin panel is theirs. An incomplete order they turn into a real order becomes theirs.
- If they open another person's order by its address, it says the page is not found.
On their dashboard, under My orders today:
| Card | What it counts |
|---|---|
| My new orders | Orders given to them today |
| My pending | Their orders still Pending |
| My open orders | Their orders pending, processing or on hold |
The bell rings only for new orders given to them, not for everyone else's.
On an order they see "Assigned to" with their name and since when, and the order's history of moves.
Example: at Rangdhanu Fashion a Store Manager starts the day and sees My new orders 18, My pending 7. She opens Pending, calls her 7 customers and confirms them. She does not see the orders of the other two Store Managers, and nobody calls the same customer twice.
Who sees what
| Who | While distribution is on |
|---|---|
| Store Manager, Moderator and others with Website orders | Their own orders + incomplete orders |
| Store owner, Admin, Manager, Marketing Manager, Courier Manager | Every order |
| Anyone with the Order distribution tick | Every order, and moves orders |
When distribution is off, everyone with Website orders sees every order again. (A login still on the older "worker" role always sees only its own orders.)
Good to know
- Store Managers do not move orders. Only the office can give an order to someone else. A Store Manager who needs help asks the office.
- Giving a Store Manager the Order distribution tick makes them part of the office: they see every order and get no orders themselves.
Common problems
- "My orders disappeared." Distribution was switched on. Your list now holds only the orders given to you.
- A Store Manager sees nothing new. They are not ticked On in Order distribution, or their share is low. Ask the office to check.
