How do tasks work in My tasks?

My tasks is a private to-do list for each staff member. They write a task, give it a date if they want, tick it when it is done and delete it when they no longer need it. Only the person who wrote a task can see it.

Where to find it

Admin › My workspace › My tasks. Every staff login has this link. The store owner (Super Admin) does not see it in the sidebar.

The staff member's start page also shows a My tasks card with the number of open tasks.

Step by step

  1. Go to My tasks. The page is called My tasks & notes.
  2. Under Create New Task, write the task (up to 200 characters), for example "Call the fabric supplier about the late delivery".
  3. Add a Note if it helps (optional).
  4. Pick a date if the task has a day (optional).
  5. Press Save. The task appears in the list.
  6. When it is done, press the circle in front of it. The task is crossed out and moves down the list. Press it again to mark it not done.
  7. To remove a task, press the bin icon and confirm.

How the list is ordered

  • Open tasks come first, done tasks last.
  • Among open tasks, the ones with a date come first, the nearest date at the top.
  • A date of today shows as "Today". A date that is today or already past shows in red until the task is ticked.

Good to know

  • Nobody else sees these tasks, not even the owner. My tasks is not a way for the office to give work to someone.
  • To give someone work, send them a message from Requests & messages instead. They can answer it and press Mark done when it is finished.
  • Due today or late: when tasks are due today or late, the staff member's start page shows a notice with a My tasks button.
  • Follow-up tasks about customers are a different list, under the CRM.

Common problems

  • I am the owner and cannot find My tasks. The link is shown only to staff logins. Use Requests & messages to send your team work.
  • A task disappeared. Someone using the same login deleted it. Each login has its own list, so give every staff member their own login.
