Open Salary rules, type the minutes in Overtime counts from … minutes after the duty ends and press Save rules. From then on, those first minutes after the duty ends are not counted as overtime. A new store starts at 0, so overtime counts from the minute the duty ends.

Where to find it

Admin › ERP › HR Department › Payroll › Salary rules (এইচআর বিভাগ › বেতন), box Fines and bonuses (everyone). Only the store owner (Super Admin) sees Payroll and Salary rules. The rule is the same for everyone in your store.

Step by step

  1. Go to Payroll and press Salary rules at the top.
  2. Find Overtime counts from … minutes after the duty ends.
  3. Type the minutes, for example 10.
  4. Press Save rules.
  5. To bring this month's overtime and salaries in line, press Work out on the Payroll page.

How it works

The minutes are taken off the overtime of each day:

overtime = last punch − duty end − the minutes you set

Example: at Rangdhanu Fashion the duty ends at 20:00 and the rule is 10. Karim punches out at 20:45. His overtime is 45 − 10 = 35 minutes. On a day he leaves at 20:08, he gets no overtime.

Good to know

  • Only for overtime staff. Overtime is counted only for people with Paid overtime ticked on their staff profile, and paid only on the Fixed + overtime salary type.
  • Not on a day off. A day off has no overtime from the card machine.
  • The duty end comes from the profile. Each person's Duty ends is on their staff profile.
  • Overtime set by hand stays. A day changed with Edit overtime on Attendance keeps the hand number. The rule does not change it.
  • Checked or paid salaries do not change. Open a checked salary again first if it must follow the new rule.
  • Days already worked out follow the new rule when they are worked out again, for example when you press Work out on Payroll for that month.

Common problems

  • Overtime did not change after saving. Press Work out on Payroll for that month.
  • Someone still gets overtime for a few minutes. Check their Duty ends on the profile; the rule counts from that time.
