The store owner can change every setting. Other people can change the store's design only when they have the Website design tick on their login. An Admin gets it by default, and a Manager can be given it. Keys, your own domain, email, tracking codes, SMS and billing always stay with the owner.
Where to find it
You give or take away the tick in Admin › Administration › Users & access › Users & logins. Open the person, pick their role, then tick or untick Website design (in the group Offers & website) and save.
Who can use it
| Who | Website design | Keys, domain, email, tracking, Telegram | SMS, Package & billing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Store owner (Super Admin) | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Admin | Yes, ticked by default | No | No |
| Manager | Can be given the tick | No | No |
| Other roles | Not usually | No | No |
Website design covers the shop's name and logo, store themes, colours, the menu bar, search bar, footer, home categories, SEO and the order popups — the Store design screens and SEO in the sidebar. Website keys, domain & tracking (owner) covers your own domain, email (SMTP), the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, Google and other tracking codes, and payment numbers; it opens for the owner only, even if ticked for someone else.
Good to know
- SMS (Administration › Settings › SMS) opens only for the owner or someone the owner made Super Admin.
- Package & billing shows in the sidebar only for the owner, and only the owner can pay for a package.
- Telegram alerts belong to ERP settings (owner).
- Online payments belongs to the Payments & profit (owner) tick, which is meant to stay with the owner.
- Sliders, banners and Pages & blog belong to the Website pages & content tick, which the Admin also has.
- A person who opens a page without the tick sees "You do not have access to: Website design. Ask the Super Admin."
Example: At Rangdhanu Fashion the owner gives the shop's Manager the Website design tick, so she can change the footer and the colours, but the SMS account and billing stay with the owner.
Common problems
- The person has Website design but cannot see Store themes, Menu bar or Footer in the sidebar. Those Store design links also need the Products & stock tick. Tick it too, or let them open the page from its address.
- A link is still missing. See A staff member cannot see a menu or page.
