What are incomplete orders?

An incomplete order is a cart a shopper left at your checkout after typing their mobile number. The shop keeps it, with the phone number and the products, so your team can call them while they still remember your shop.

Where to find it

Admin › Online store › Website orders › Incomplete orders

The store owner sees it, and so does every staff member with the Website orders feature. A staff login that still has the older "worker" role sees only the incomplete orders given to them.

How it works

  1. A shopper at Rangdhanu Fashion puts a kurti in the cart and opens the checkout.
  2. As soon as they type a full 11-digit mobile number (01XXXXXXXXX), the cart is saved as an order with the status Incomplete.
  3. If they also type their name or address within the next hour, those are added to the same incomplete order, so the caller knows whom to ask for.
  4. If they press Confirm order, the incomplete cart is not needed any more: their unfinished carts from the last day are moved to the trash and the goods go back to stock.
  5. If they leave, the cart stays in Incomplete orders for your team to follow up.

The page shows three numbers at the top: To call (not called yet), Call again (no answer or call later) and Left today. Below them are the tabs To call, Call again and All, a search box for name, phone or invoice, and 30 carts to a page.

Each cart shows the name (or "No name yet"), the phone with its delivery-record badge, the address, how long ago they left, the items, and the total in taka.

Good to know

  • Stock is held. An incomplete cart holds its goods in stock, the same as a real order. Closing it gives them back.
  • "Ordered later" on a cart means the same customer placed a real order after leaving. No call is needed.
  • Not saved when: the cart is already empty, the same number placed an order in the last 2 hours, or the phone number or IP address is blocked in Security.
  • No new-order alert. An incomplete cart does not ring the bell or send the new-order email, and it never counts as a Facebook Purchase.
  • Reminder SMS: you can also let the shop send one reminder SMS by itself. See the related answer below.
