Nothing stops working when you move to your own domain, because your free ecommerceautopilot.com address keeps working. Still, update the places customers see (ads, page links), and add the new address wherever an outside service checks it, such as your Google app for YouTube. Do this only after the domain shows Working (https).
Where to find it
Your domain's status: Admin › Online store › Store design › Custom domain (অনলাইন স্টোর › স্টোর ডিজাইন › নিজের ডোমেইন).
Webhook and redirect addresses are shown on the screen of each service (see the list below). Each one is built from the address you opened the admin panel with. Open the panel on your new domain first, then copy them.
Step by step
- Wait until Custom domain shows Working (https) for your domain.
- Open your admin panel on the new domain, for example https://rangdhanufashion.com/admin.
- Ads and shop links. Change the website link in your Facebook ads, Facebook page, Instagram bio and printed cards to the new domain.
- YouTube (before you connect or connect again). The YouTube setup page in Online store › Marketing channels › YouTube marketing shows the redirect address to add to your Google app. Opened on the new domain, it shows the new address. Add it to your Google app's Authorized redirect URIs, and keep the old one too.
- Courier live updates (optional). On ERP › Sales Department › Courier & parcels, the Callback URL in the Live updates from Steadfast card now shows your new domain. You can paste it into your Steadfast panel, or leave the old one. Other couriers with a live-update link work the same way.
- Meta Inbox webhook (optional). In CRM › Inbox › Inbox settings, the Callback URL now shows your new domain. You can update it in your Meta app, or leave the old one. The Verify token stays the same.
- Payment companies. The panel makes payment return addresses by itself for each order, so nothing changes in the panel. If your payment company's merchant account lists your website address, update it there.
Good to know
- Old links keep working. Webhooks that use your free address still reach your store; they are never redirected. Changing them is a choice, not a must.
- Old shop links go to your main address. Once your domain works it becomes your main address (unless you chose another one), so a shopper who opens an old free-address link is sent to the same page on your domain. See Why do my other addresses send shoppers to one address?
- Removing the domain later. Any webhook you moved to your own domain stops working if you remove the domain. Move it back to the free address before you remove it.
Common problems
- YouTube connect says the redirect address does not match. Add the address shown on the YouTube setup page to your Google app's Authorized redirect URIs, wait a few minutes, and try again.
- Inbox messages stopped after changing the Callback URL. Check that the domain shows Working (https) and that the verify token in your Meta app matches the one in Inbox settings.
