Free-shipping rules are set per product. Go to Admin › Online store › Shipping & returns › Shipping rules, press Add Free Shipping Product, pick the products and press Save. When every product in a customer's cart is one of these, the delivery charge shows ৳0 (Free shipping).
Where to find it
Admin › Online store › Shipping & returns › Shipping rules. The page is called "Free Shipping Product List". The store owner always sees it. A staff member needs the Products & stock tick, and the Add Free Shipping Product button also needs Offers.
Step by step
- Open Shipping rules.
- Press Add Free Shipping Product.
- In the search box ("product search here"), type part of a product's name and pick it.
- Add more products the same way. Each one joins the table with its category and sell price.
- Press Save. You go back to the list, which now shows those products.
To end free shipping on a product, press the delete icon next to it on the list.
How it works
- One setting per product. This page and the Is Free Shipping box on the product form change the same setting. Use whichever is quicker.
- Every product must ship free. Delivery is ৳0 only when every product in the cart has free shipping. Then the cart shows ৳0 (Free shipping), no delivery charge is asked and the order is saved with ৳0 delivery. The same rule applies to incomplete orders and landing-page orders.
- On the shop. The product's order button reads Free Shipping - Order Now, and the product appears on your shop's /free-shipping-product page.
Example: Rangdhanu Fashion adds its new panjabi to Shipping rules. A customer who orders only the panjabi pays ৳0 delivery. A customer who puts the panjabi and a cap (without free shipping) in the cart picks a delivery charge as usual.
Good to know
- Mixed carts pay delivery. One free-shipping product does not make the whole order free, so a customer buying it with other products pays the normal charge.
- Check before booking. When you confirm a free-shipping order, check the delivery charge and the total on the order before you send it to the courier.
- Delivery charges stay as they are. Your normal charges in Delivery charges are still used for every cart that has at least one product without free shipping.
Common problems
- The Add Free Shipping Product button is missing. Your login has Products & stock but not Offers. Ask the owner to add it in Users & logins.
- The Shipping rules link is missing. Your login does not have Products & stock. Ask the owner to add it.
