How do I put a discount on products?

You put a discount on the product's own form: set Is Discount to Yes, choose Fixed or Percentage, and type the Discount Amount. The shop then shows the new price, with the sell price next to it as the old price. Every discounted product is listed in Product discounts and on your shop's offer page.

Where to find it

• The product form: Admin › Online store › Products › All products, then Add Product or the product's edit icon. This needs the Products & stock feature.
• The list: Admin › Online store › Offers & discounts › Product discounts. This needs the Offers feature.

The store owner always has both. The Admin and Manager jobs have both by default.

Step by step

A new single product:

1. In Add Product, type the Sell Price.
2. Set Is Discount to Yes.
3. Choose the Discount Type: Fixed (taka off) or Percentage (% off).
4. Type the Discount Amount, for example 200 or 15.
5. Leave the box. After Discount fills itself (for example ৳1,500 − 200 = ৳1,300).
6. Fill the rest of the form and press Save.

A product with sizes and colours:

1. Open the product's edit page.
2. In each row, type the Discount Amount, or the Discount Price the customer should pay for that choice.
3. Press Update.

Change or end a discount on a single product:

1. Open the product's edit page. Its Discount Type, Discount Amount and After Discount Price are shown.
2. To change it, type the new amount and check the After Discount Price.
3. To end it, set Discount Amount and After Discount Price to 0, and choose the empty Select Discount Type.
4. Press Update.

How it works

• On the shop: the product shows the discounted price, with the sell price next to it as the old price.
• In the cart: the customer pays the discounted price.
• Offer page: your shop has a page at yourshop.com/discount-products that lists every visible product with a discount type, 24 per page. Share the link in your posts or ads.
• Product discounts in the panel lists the same products with their Sell Price, Discount Type, Discount Amount and After Discount.

Good to know

• No end date. A product discount stays until you end it. For a code that works only between two dates, use a coupon.
• Coupons stack. A coupon is worked out on the cart total, which already uses the discounted prices.
• Hidden products do not appear on the offer page.

Common problems

• The discount fields are missing on the edit page. They show only for a product that already has a discount type. Sizes-and-colours rows always have their own discount boxes.
• A product is not on the offer page. It has no discount type, or it is hidden.
