Set the product's Product Type to Variable. A table appears where each row is one size-and-colour choice with its own price, discount, stock and photo. Press + to add a row for each choice, then Save.
Where to find it
- The rows: Admin › Online store › Products › All products › Add Product, then Product Type › Variable. For an existing variable product, press the edit icon next to it in All products.
- The lists: Admin › Online store › Products › Sizes and Products › Colours.
You need the Products & stock feature (Admin and Manager have it; the owner always does).
Step by step
- In Products › Sizes, add each size by its Size Title (for example M, L, XL).
- In Products › Colours, add each colour with a Color Name and a Color Code (for example Red,
#d62828). - Open Add Product and fill in the name, photo, category and Sell Price as usual. The Sell Price is copied into each row's Price.
- Set Product Type to Variable. The table appears.
- In the first row, pick the Size and the Color.
- Type the row's Price. If it has a discount, type the Discount Amount; the Discount Price fills itself when you leave the box.
- Type the row's Stock Quantity.
- Optional: choose an Image for this choice.
- Press + to add the next row and repeat. Remove an extra row with its delete icon.
- Press Save.
Example: a "Rangdhanu Fashion" panjabi with rows L - White at 1,800 taka (stock 10), XL - White at 1,900 taka (stock 6) and XL - Black at 1,900 taka (stock 4).
Good to know
- Fixed or percentage discount: set Is Discount to Yes and choose the Discount Type before typing the rows' discounts. The same type is used for every row.
- Only sizes or only colours? Each row needs both. Use a colour named exactly
Defaultor a size named exactlyfree; the shop hides those names on the buttons. Do not putfreeandDefaultin the same row, or that row is hidden. - Changing rows later: open the product with the edit icon. You can change any row's size, colour, price, stock or photo, add rows with +, and remove rows with the delete icon. Press Update.
- Stock is per row. A row with stock 0 or an empty stock box shows as Out of Stock when the shopper picks it.
Common problems
- The Size or Color drop-down is empty. Add sizes in Products › Sizes and colours in Products › Colours first.
- A row shows the wrong photo after saving. Open the product, choose the right photo in that row's Image, and press Update. Check the product page once after saving a new product with several row photos.
