How do I show a popup offer?

A popup offer is one banner picture that pops up over your shop, and a tap on it opens the page you choose. Go to Popup offer, upload the image, add the link, set Show Pop Up Offer Banner to Enable and press Update.

Where to find it

Admin › Online store › Offers & discounts › Popup offer (the page is called Popup Offer Banner)

The store owner can always use it. Staff need the Offers access to open the page and the Website design access to save it (Admin has both from the start).

Step by step

Open Popup offer.
Under Popup Banner Image, choose your banner. A square picture of 400×400 fits best.
In Popup Banner Link, paste the page the banner should open, for example your combo page (yourshop.com/combo-offers) or one product's page.
Set Show Pop Up Offer Banner to Enable.
Press Update. You see "Site settings has been updated".
Open your shop in a new browser tab to see it.

How it works

The popup appears about 2 seconds after a page of your shop opens, with the banner in a white box over a dark background.
The visitor closes it with the X or by tapping outside the box.
After closing it, that visitor does not see it again in the same browser for 2 hours. Then it shows again.
It shows on your shop's own pages (home, categories, products and so on). Landing pages are separate pages and do not show it.

Example: "Rangdhanu Fashion" runs a weekend sale. They upload a 400×400 banner saying "Flat 20% off – this weekend only", link it to the discount page, and set it to Disable on Monday morning.

Good to know

The link is required. The page does not save without Popup Banner Link.
Upload the image before you enable it, so visitors never see an empty box.
To change the picture, choose a new file and press Update; the new one replaces the old one. Leave the file box empty to keep the current picture.
To stop the offer, set Show Pop Up Offer Banner to Disable and press Update. Your image and link stay saved for next time.
Keep the banner simple. One short line with the offer and a date reads well on a phone.

Common problems

I enabled it but do not see it. If you closed it in the last 2 hours, your browser is still hiding it. Open the shop in a private (incognito) window.
The page opens but pressing Update is refused. Your login needs the Website design access; ask the owner.
