Once your card machines are connected, new punches are read from RAMS every 10 minutes. Each morning at 05:30 (Bangladesh time) yesterday and the day before are worked out for everyone, so absences and days off show. To read straight away, press Read now on the Attendance page.
Where to find it
Admin › ERP › HR Department › Attendance. The top box shows Card machines connected, when they were last read, and the last error if a read failed.
The Attendance page is for the store owner and for people with the Attendance tick (Admin and Manager get it by themselves).
How it works
- Every 10 minutes: today's and yesterday's punches are read. New ones are saved (never twice), and the days of the people who punched are worked out again.
- At 05:30 each morning: the last 3 days of punches are read, and yesterday and the day before are worked out for everyone with a card ID. A working day with no punch becomes Absent; the weekly day off and closed days become Day off.
- Read now: reads the last 3 days at once, the same way.
How a day is worked out:
- A work day starts at 05:00. A punch at 01:30 counts for the day before, so overtime past midnight stays on the right day.
- The first punch is In and the last punch is Out. Only one punch, or two within 30 minutes, is a missing punch: once the duty is over, that work day becomes a Half day (no fine on top).
- Late is counted from the duty start on the profile; overtime after the duty end, only for people with Paid overtime ticked.
- A punch on the weekly day off or a closed day shows as Worked on day off.
- Today is never absent while the day is still going.
Example: at Rangdhanu Fashion, a worker's duty starts at 09:00. She punches at 09:12 and at 20:05. Ten minutes later her day shows Present, 12 minutes late.
Good to know
- Days you corrected stay. A day changed by hand (shown with a dark border) is never overwritten by the machine.
- Someone new in RAMS. A new number ID that punched in the last 7 days and is on no profile gets a profile made by itself. If Telegram alerts are on, you get a message.
- Part-time staff are not worked out from the machine.
- If RAMS is down, nothing is lost: the next read fetches the punches again. With Telegram alerts on, you get one message about it (at most once every 6 hours).
Common problems
- Someone's punches do not show. Their profile has no card ID. Link it on the profile or on the Attendance page.
- Yesterday's absences are missing. They are filled at 05:30. Wait for the morning run, or open the person's day and correct it.
- "Card machines not connected yet". Put the RAMS username and code under Salary rules, or bring in a file from RAMS.
