What happens when someone punches the card only once?

When a person punches the card only once on a work day and the duty is over, the day becomes a Half day. It counts as half a day in attendance and in the salary. There is no missing-punch fine on top: the half day is the cut.

Where to find it

The office sees it on Admin › ERP › HR Department › Attendance (এইচআর বিভাগ › হাজিরা) as ½ with a small dot.
The person sees it on Admin › My workspace › My attendance (আমার হাজিরা) as Half day — no punch when leaving.

How it works

The first punch of the day is In, the last is Out. Only one punch, or two punches less than 30 minutes apart, means there is no leaving punch.
Today is not judged until the duty has ended, so a person who has just come in is not a half day yet.
On a monthly salary, a half day costs half a day's pay (salary ÷ 30 ÷ 2). Marketing staff lose half of their Cut for a day absent.
On the weekly day off or a closed day, one punch pays half a day of Worked on day off.
Late minutes still count from the one punch, like any other day.

Example: at Rangdhanu Fashion, Rina's salary is ৳15,000 (৳500 a day). On 4 November she punched at 09:05 and forgot to punch when she left. The day is a Half day, so ৳250 is cut. No ৳50 missing-punch fine is added.

Making it a full day

The person sends a Card not punched request for that day. When the Super Admin or an Admin approves it, the day becomes a full Present day.
Rejected, or never sent, it stays a half day.
The Super Admin or an Admin can also open the day on Attendance and set it to Present by hand. A Manager cannot.

Good to know

The missing-punch fine now applies only by hand. It is charged only when the office keeps a day Present with Missing card punch ticked.
No attendance bonus. A month with a half day gets no attendance bonus, unless the day is made full.
A fine waiver does not make it full. Only a Card not punched request, or the office, does that.
Older days keep the old rule. If your store's half-day rule has a start date, days before it stay Present with the missing-punch fine.
Days fixed by hand stay as they are. The card machine never changes a day the office set.
Payroll tells you. The slip lists the half days "with no punch when leaving" in Needs you.
