How do I connect email marketing?

Open Email marketing and choose a service. For Brevo or Mailchimp, paste the keys, press Save and then Test connection. For Gmail or Amazon SES, press Connect to fill in your shop's email (SMTP) settings.

Where to find it

Admin › Online store › Marketing channels › Email marketing (মার্কেটিং চ্যানেল › ইমেইল মার্কেটিং)

Only the store owner (Super Admin) sees it: Marketing channels (owner) does not open it for staff. After the free trial, the page needs a package with WhatsApp & email marketing keys.

Step by step

Brevo (Sendinblue)

  1. Follow the steps on the card: sign up, verify your shop's sender email, then make a new API key.
  2. Paste it in API key and press Save.
  3. Press Test connection. A good answer shows Connected: and your company name or email.

Mailchimp

  1. Make an API key in Mailchimp. It ends with your server, like -us21.
  2. Copy your Audience ID from your audience's settings.
  3. Paste both, press Save, then Test connection. A good answer shows your audience's name and how many contacts it has.

Gmail / Google Workspace or Amazon SES (SMTP)

  1. Follow the steps on the card to get an app password (Gmail) or SMTP user name and password (SES).
  2. Press Connect. Your shop's Email (SMTP) settings open.
  3. Fill in the host, port 587, encryption tls, user name and password the card shows, and save.

Good to know

  • Brevo and Mailchimp keys are kept encrypted for your shop only. The page shows only the last 4 characters.
  • Leave the key box empty when you save to keep the saved key. Remove keys deletes it.
  • Campaigns. Sending newsletters from this page is not available yet. Your Brevo and Mailchimp keys stay saved for it.
  • Gmail suits a small number of emails a day. Amazon SES is cheap for many, but needs your own domain.
  • SMTP is also your shop's own mail. The Gmail or SES settings are the ones the shop uses to send its emails.

Common problems

  • "The API key should end with the server, like -us21". You copied only part of the Mailchimp key. Copy the whole key.
  • Test connection says "not connected:". The key is wrong or was deleted in Brevo or Mailchimp. Make a new one and save it.
  • "WhatsApp & email marketing keys is in the … package." Your trial has ended. Choose a package in Package & billing.
