Click the edit icon next to the order in the Website orders list, make your changes and press Update. You can change the products, quantities, prices, customer details, address, courier and charges.
Where to find it
Admin › Online store › Website orders, then the pencil icon in the Action column of the order. The page is called "Order Edit". The store owner can always save changes. Staff need the Website orders tick in Users & logins.
Step by step
- Go to Admin › Online store › Website orders › All orders and find the order.
- Click the pencil icon in its Action column.
- To add a product, type its name in the product search box and pick it. To remove one, press the red delete button on its line.
- Change the Quantity or Sell Price of a line if needed. The quantity cannot go above the stock you have.
- Fix the customer's name, Customer Mobile, District, Upzilla/Thana or Customer Address.
- Change the Courier, Courier Tracking ID, Delivery Charge, Discount or Note if needed.
- Press Update.
Good to know
- Stock follows the changes. A removed line gives its stock back, an added line takes stock, and a changed quantity moves the difference.
- Choosing a courier confirms a pending order. If the order is Pending and you choose a courier, it moves to Processing when you press Update.
- Change the status from the badge. The edit page has an Order Status field, but changing it here does not give stock back. Use the status badge in the list instead.
- Other orders from this number are listed at the bottom of the page, with their status and assigned user. Use it to spot repeat or doubtful customers.
- Booked with a courier? Editing here does not change the parcel at Steadfast, Pathao or RedX. Change the address, phone or cash amount in the courier's own panel too.
- The address must be at least 10 characters.
Common problems
- The changes do not save. Check that the address is at least 10 characters and the date is filled in. If it still fails, your login may not have the Website orders tick. Ask the owner.
- The courier collected the old amount. The parcel was booked before the edit. Change the amount at the courier before it is delivered.
