What is a double booking?

A double booking is a parcel that Steadfast shows as Unknown while the same invoice was booked again as another parcel. Usually the second booking is the one that went out. The app keeps these in their own list, so they do not get mixed up with parcels that are really lost.

Where to find it

Go to Admin › ERP › Sales Department › Courier & parcels.

When there are double bookings in the dates you picked, a Double booking (same invoice) box appears at the top. It shows how many parcels there are and their amount. Press it to open the list.
On the parcels list (All parcels), a Double booking tab appears when there is at least one.

Everyone who can open Courier & parcels sees it, within their own pages and months.

How it works

Two parcels count as the same invoice when the invoice matches, ignoring small and capital letters (RF120 = rf120).
Only the parcel Steadfast calls Unknown goes on the list. Two bookings that are both moving normally are not a double booking.
On the Double booking tab, each parcel shows the other booking under its invoice: also # and the parcel ID, its status and the day it was booked. Press it to open that parcel.

Example: invoice RF120 was booked on Monday as parcel 1001. It got stuck, so it was booked again on Tuesday as parcel 1002. Steadfast now shows 1001 as Unknown and 1002 as Delivered. Parcel 1001 appears under Double booking with "also #1002 · Delivered".

Step by step

Open the Double booking tab.
For each parcel, read the also # line under the invoice.
If the other booking is moving or delivered, the customer's goods went out on that one. The Unknown parcel is the extra booking.
Note the Unknown parcel's ID and ask Steadfast about it.

Good to know

Seller orders guard the invoice. When a seller order is entered, an invoice that is already used by another order, or already booked with the courier, is refused with a message such as "This invoice was already booked with Steadfast (parcel …). Use a new invoice number."
Kept apart from Missing at Steadfast. A parcel whose invoice was booked again is left out of the Missing at Steadfast list, so you do not chase it twice.
In the download too. Download (Excel / CSV) on the parcels list has a column called Same invoice also booked.
