Most of the time the card machine's online service (RAMS) is busy on its own server. Nothing is lost: the panel tries again by itself every 10 minutes and fetches the punches it missed. If it lasts for hours, check the RAMS code, the card IDs, and that the punches are in RAMS at all.
Where to find it
- Admin › ERP › HR Department › Attendance (এইচআর বিভাগ › হাজিরা). The top box shows Card machines connected, when they were last read, and Last try failed: with the reason if a read did not work. Read now and Bring in file are here too.
- The RAMS username and code: Admin › ERP › HR Department › Payroll › Salary rules, the Card machines (RAMS · Stellar) box, with Test the connection.
Attendance is for the store owner and people with the Attendance tick. Salary rules is for the store owner (Super Admin) only.
What to check, most common first
- RAMS is busy or down. Each read tries up to 4 times, 5 seconds apart. If RAMS still does not answer, the page says plainly: "The card machine's online service (RAMS) is busy or down right now … Nothing is lost: attendance is fetched again by itself every 10 minutes." Just wait, or press Read now later. If it lasts for hours, tell RAMS / Stellar: the problem is on their server.
- The RAMS username or code is wrong. Press Test the connection in Salary rules. "RAMS did not answer: …" with a wrong-code message means you should check both with Stellar BD, type them again and press Save.
- The machines are not connected. "Card machines not connected yet" means the RAMS username and code are not saved. Add them in Salary rules.
- The punches came, but not to the person. If someone's card ID is not on their profile, their punches wait under RAMS users not linked to anyone. Choose the person and press Link; their days fill in at once.
- Yesterday's absences are missing. Absent days and days off are worked out each morning at 05:30 for the two days before. Today is never absent while the day is still going.
- The punches are not in RAMS either. The panel reads only what RAMS has. If your RAMS account does not show the punches, the machine did not send them; ask Stellar.
A quick fix while you wait
Export the punches from RAMS as Excel or CSV and press Bring in file on the Attendance page. Punches already saved are never saved twice, so a later read from the machine does no harm.
Good to know
- Read now reads the last 3 days at once.
- Days you corrected by hand are never overwritten by the machine.
- Telegram: if Telegram alerts are on, you get one message when RAMS cannot be read, at most once every 6 hours. It comes with the alert Courier or Facebook connection stopped working.
When to ask the team
If Test the connection works and shows your people, RAMS has today's punches, but last read does not move for more than an hour, ask in our Facebook group or press Give Feedback with a screenshot of the Attendance box. Never share the RAMS code.
