Most often no chat has been added yet, or the alert you expect is not ticked. Add your chat with Find who pressed Start, tick the alert and press Save, then press Send today's summary now. If that message arrives, the connection works.
Where to find it
Admin › Administration › Settings › Telegram alerts. Box 1. The bot shows whether the bot is connected; box 2. Who gets the messages lists the chats; box 3. Try it has the test buttons.
Only the store owner (Super Admin) sees it. The page is part of ERP.
What to check, most common first
- No chat is added. Box 2 says "Nobody yet." Open the bot in Telegram and press Start (or send "hi"). Back on the page, press Find who pressed Start and press Add next to your name. The bot sends you a hello message.
- The alert is not ticked. Under Tell me at once when…, only the alerts you tick are sent. New order entered and Parcel booked on Steadfast start unticked. Tick what you want and press Save.
- The token stopped working. Box 1 says "The saved token does not work: …", for example after the token was changed in @BotFather. Paste the bot's current token into Bot token and press Save.
- "Nobody yet" after pressing Start. Send the bot a new message, then press Find who pressed Start again. For a group, add the bot to the group and send a message there first.
- You blocked the bot or left the group. Telegram then refuses to deliver. Open the bot, press Start again, or add the bot back to the group.
- You are waiting for a report, not an alert. The evening summary comes at the time in Evening summary at (Bangladesh time), 22:00 unless you changed it. The seller and courier reports come after midnight, if ticked.
Test it
Press Send today's summary now in box 3. "Today's summary sent to 1 chat(s)." means it works. "Nothing sent — check the bot and the chats." means no chat took the message: do steps 1 and 3 again.
Good to know
- Connection problems are told once every 6 hours, not on every try, so you are not flooded.
- Everyone who should get messages opens the bot, presses Start, and is added with Add.
- After the free trial, Telegram alerts need a package that includes them.
- Each store uses its own bot. Messages are written in Bangla.
When to ask the team
If Send today's summary now arrives but a ticked alert never does, ask in our Facebook group or press Give Feedback. Say which alert and when it should have come. Never share your bot token.
