Previous due is what you already owed a supplier before the dates you are looking at. The supplier's page and its slips start from it, so the sum always closes: Previous due + Bills − Paid = Total due at the end of those dates.
Where to find it
Admin › ERP › Production Department › Suppliers & bills › click the supplier, then pick dates with the date button.
Dues are for the store owner (Super Admin) only, through Supplier dues (owner). An Admin with Supplier bills & payments enters bills and payments but does not see the due.
How it works
- For chosen dates (for example Last month), the first card shows Previous due with "before" and the first day. In Bills and payments the first line is Previous due (before these dates), and the Due after column runs on from it.
- On Lifetime the same card is Due when you started: the amount typed in Previous due (৳) when the supplier was added.
- A bill slip (picture icon on a bill line) has an Account update part: Previous due, + This bill, Total due after this bill.
- A statement slip (Slip of these dates) shows Previous due up to the day before your dates, + Bills, − Paid, and the Total due at their end. If later entries exist, it also shows Due today.
- If you paid more than the bills, the last line says Paid in advance instead of Total due.
Example: Rangdhanu Fashion opens "Shapla Packaging" for 1–30 November. Previous due (up to 31 October) ৳12,000 + bills ৳12,500 − paid ৳10,000 = total due ৳14,500.
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| Previous due (before 1 Nov) | ৳12,000 |
| + Bills | ৳12,500 |
| − Paid | ৳10,000 |
| Total due (30 Nov) | ৳14,500 |
Good to know
- The words on the supplier screens are now Due, Due now, Due after, Total supplier dues and Most due first (they used to say "owed").
- When you add a supplier, the box for money you already owed them is Previous due (৳). A minus amount means you paid them in advance.
- Entries waiting for the owner's approval are not in these sums until approved.
Common problems
- Previous due looks wrong. Check the supplier's Previous due typed when they were added (see it on Lifetime), and any bill or payment dated before your dates.
- I do not see Previous due at all. You are not the store owner; dues stay with the owner.
