How do I see which staff member a salary or advance entry is for?

Every staff advance and salary entry in the Cashbook now shows the staff member's name in a small purple tag (with a person icon) next to the entry. You no longer need to open the entry to see whose advance or salary it was.

Where to find it

Admin › ERP › Accounts Department › Cashbook (staff with Own cash wallet see My cashbook, with only their accounts' entries).

The tag shows for anyone who can see the entry. For the store owner (who has Staff & salary (owner)), the name is a link to the person's staff profile.

How it works

  1. When an entry is made under a salary category (for example Salary) or the staff advance category (Staff advance (অগ্রিম)), the form shows a Staff member box.
  2. For a staff advance the Staff member must be chosen, because the advance is cut from that person's salary. For a salary entry it is optional.
  3. The chosen person is saved with the entry and shown as the purple tag in the list.

A staff member is kept only on salary and advance entries. If someone changes such an entry to an ordinary category, a transfer or a supplier payment, the staff member is removed from it.

Example: Rangdhanu Fashion's owner scrolls the Cashbook for the month and sees "Staff advance (অগ্রিম) ৳3,000" with the tag Rahim and "Salary ৳12,000" with the tag Karima, without opening either entry.

Good to know

  • Entries waiting for the owner's approval show the tag too, marked as waiting. They count nowhere until approved.
  • Advances count on the salary slip by the staff member chosen here, so picking the right person matters.
  • Older salary entries made without a staff member have no tag.

Common problems

  • There is no tag on an advance. The entry was made before a person was chosen, or under a category that is not a staff category. Edit it (or ask for the change) and pick the Staff member.
  • The name is not a link. Only the store owner can open staff profiles from here.
