SMS messages are not going out

Open the SMS page and look at the status first. If it says SMS is off, nothing is sent. If it says SMS is on, send yourself a test SMS and read what the SMS company answers — that answer usually names the problem.

Where to find it

Admin › Administration › Settings › SMS (প্রশাসন › সেটিং). Only the store owner (and anyone made Super Admin) can open it. SMS goes out from your shop's own SMS company account.

What to check, most common first

1. SMS is off. The status shows SMS is on only when Send SMS is ticked, an SMS company is chosen and every box of that company is filled in. If you saved with a box empty, you saw "Saved, but SMS stays off until every field of the chosen provider is filled in." Fill it in and press Save.
2. The SMS company refuses it. In Send a test SMS, type your number (01XXXXXXXXX) and press Send. Read the answer after "Answer from the SMS company:". A wrong key or password, no balance, or a sender ID that is not approved are problems to fix in your SMS company's account. Last SMS below the box shows the last SMS your shop sent — test or real — and the answer.
3. That message is switched off. Each message has its own switch:
   • SMS the customer when an order is placed (on the same page).
   • By SMS under When an order goes to the courier (lower on the same page).
   • The reminder to shoppers who left the checkout has its own switch on Admin › Online store › Website orders › Incomplete orders.
4. The order type does not send it. The order-placed SMS goes for orders made through the shop's checkout and landing page forms, not for orders your team creates in the panel. The courier message goes for seller orders, not for website orders booked from the orders list.
5. The number is not valid. "No valid number" means fewer than 10 digits. Fix the customer's number on the order.

Good to know

• "Sent" means the company accepted it, not that the phone got it. The panel only knows that the company's server took the request, so read the words of their answer.
• Each test uses your balance, like a real SMS. You can send up to 10 tests a minute.
• Saved keys are not shown again. Leave a key box empty to keep the saved one; type in it only to change it.
• Another company? Choose Other (web address) and paste the company's sending address with {number} and {message} in it.

Still not working?

If the test says "Sent" but no SMS arrives, ask your SMS company first, with the time from Last SMS. If the page itself shows an error you do not understand, press Give Feedback at the bottom of the page with a screenshot — never include your SMS password or key.
