How is my store's data kept safe?

Many shops run on eCommerce Autopilot, but each store's records are kept apart: inside your admin panel you see and change only your own store's data. On top of that, secret keys are stored encrypted, sign-in can ask for a second code, wrong passwords are slowed down, and the database is backed up every day.

Where to find it

Most of this works by itself. The parts you control are in Admin › Administration › Security (নিরাপত্তা): Two-step sign-in, Blocked IP addresses, Blocked phone numbers and, for the owner, Support access. Logins are in Admin › Administration › Users & access › Users & logins.

How it works

  • Your store is kept apart. Every order, product, customer, parcel, setting and key is saved with your store's mark, and your panel shows only rows with that mark. Another store cannot see or change them, and you cannot see theirs.
  • Only your team gets in. Your admin panel opens only for the owner and the staff added to your store. Customers who signed up on your shop cannot enter it. A login you block is signed out. eCommerce Autopilot support can open your admin only while the owner allows it in Support access, and every visit is shown to the owner.
  • Secret keys are encrypted. Keys and passwords you save for couriers, online payments, SMS, the Inbox, marketing channels, Telegram, YouTube, the Live chat assistant and BD Courier are stored encrypted. Secret keys are not shown again after saving.
  • Two-step sign-in. Each office person can turn on a 6-digit code from an authenticator app, and the owner can make it a must for Super Admin, Admin and the managers (Manager, Production Manager, Marketing Manager).
  • Wrong tries are slowed down. After 5 wrong passwords in a minute for one username, the sign-in page makes that person wait. Wrong two-step codes are slowed down too.
  • Backups. The whole database is backed up every day, and again before any update that changes its structure. A copy of the backup, and of the photos and files stores upload, is kept off the server.

Example: Rangdhanu Fashion and another shop both sell on eCommerce Autopilot. Rangdhanu's staff open their panel and see only Rangdhanu's orders, customers and courier keys, never the other shop's.

Good to know

  • Your own keys. Each store connects its own courier, payment, SMS and other accounts. One store's keys are never used for another.
  • The biggest risk is a shared password. Give each person their own login and turn on two-step sign-in for the office.
  • Blocking someone in Users & logins signs them out and stops them signing in again.
