How do customers use a coupon?

On the checkout page, the customer types the code in the Enter coupon code box under the order summary and presses Apply. If the code is valid, they see "You Got Coupon Discount!", the page reloads, and a Coupon Discount line is taken off the total.

Where to find it

On your shop's checkout page, below the order summary. The box shows only when Coupon Manage is On in Admin › Online store › Offers & discounts › Coupons.

How it works

The customer adds products to the cart and opens the checkout.
They type the code, for example EID200, and press Apply.
The shop looks for that code in your store's coupons and checks:
- today is between its Date Start and Date End;
- the products in the cart reach its Minimum Purchase (if it has one).
If both are true, the discount is worked out:
- Fixed: the amount, for example ৳200;
- Percentage: that share of the products total, for example 10% of ৳2,400 = ৳240.
The page reloads and shows Coupon Discount in the summary.
When the customer presses Confirm order, the coupon is checked again. The order is saved with the coupon included in its Discount and a lower total.

Example: "Rangdhanu Fashion" has the coupon EID200: Fixed, ৳200, minimum ৳1,500. A customer with ৳1,800 of products and a ৳70 delivery charge pays ৳1,800 + ৳70 − ৳200 = ৳1,670.

Good to know

One coupon per order. Applying another valid code replaces the first one.
The delivery charge is not discounted. The discount comes from the products total only, and never goes above it.
The coupon follows the cart. If the customer removes products and the cart falls below the minimum, the coupon is dropped.
Product discounts still apply. The coupon is worked out on the already discounted prices.

Common problems

When a code is refused, the customer sees "Not Found Any Coupon Discount!". The usual reasons:

The code is spelled differently. Share it exactly as you saved it.
Outside its dates. The coupon has not started yet, or its end date has passed.
Below the minimum. The cart's products total is less than the Minimum Purchase.
No coupon box at all. Coupon Manage is Off.
