Connect Google Analytics to your panel once: type your Google Analytics Property ID and upload a Google service account key (a JSON file) in Google Analytics & Tag Manager. The store dashboard then shows your visitors by city and your most visited pages for the last 30 days.
Where to find it
- Settings: Admin › Online store › Tracking & codes › Google Analytics & Tag Manager (ট্র্যাকিং ও কোড). Only the store owner (Super Admin) can open it.
- The numbers: the Analytics Overview on the store dashboard. As the owner, open CEO DASHBOARD and press Store dashboard at the top. Only the owner (Super Admin) sees the dashboards; staff start on their own My dashboard.
Step by step
- Your shop must already send visits to Google Analytics (GA4). If not, add your GA4 Measurement ID first in Google Analytics & Tag Manager.
- In Google Cloud, create a service account, switch on the Google Analytics Data API, and download a key for the account as a JSON file.
- In Google Analytics, open Admin › Property access management and give the service account's email address Viewer access.
- In GA4, copy your property ID from Admin › Property details. It is a number only, for example 412345678.
- In the panel, open Google Analytics & Tag Manager and open Advanced: your own Google codes and the Analytics report key at the bottom. Type the number in Google Analytics Property ID.
- Choose your JSON file in Google Analytics key file (JSON).
- Press Save in that box.
- Open the store dashboard and look at Analytics Overview.
How it works
The Analytics Overview has two charts:
- Users by City (Last 30 Days): the ten cities in Bangladesh with the most visitors.
- Most Visited Pages (Last 30 Days): your ten pages with the most page views.
The panel asks Google with your store's own property and key. Each store connects its own Google account; nothing is shared between stores.
Good to know
- Kept for 6 hours. The panel saves Google's answer for 6 hours, so new numbers, or a fix to your settings, can take up to 6 hours to show.
- Visitors from other countries are not in the city chart; it counts Bangladesh only.
- Choose the JSON file again only when you change it. Saving the page without a file keeps the one you uploaded before.
- The CEO dashboard does not show Google's visitor numbers; use Store dashboard.
Common problems
- "No city data available for selected period." Check the property ID (numbers only), that you uploaded the right JSON file, and that the service account has Viewer access in Google Analytics. Then wait up to 6 hours.
- The Analytics Overview is missing completely. On the newer dashboard design the section stays hidden until Google sends some numbers. Check the same three settings.
