How do I connect BD Courier for the fraud check?

Open a free account with BD Courier, copy your API key, paste it in Admin › Administration › Security › Customer fraud check and press Save. From then on, the badges show each customer's record with every courier, not only with your shop.

Where to find it

Admin › Administration › Security › Customer fraud check, in the BD Courier API key box. The same card is also under Admin › ERP › Sales Department › Courier & parcels › Couriers & keys.

Only the store owner (Super Admin) sees it.

Step by step

1. Open a free account with BD Courier. The link is in the Get the key box on the settings card.
2. In BD Courier's dashboard, open Settings → API Key and copy the key.
3. In your panel, open Customer fraud check.
4. Paste the key in BD Courier API key.
5. Press Save. You see "Customer fraud check saved."
6. Check the card's heading. It now shows a green BD Courier key •••• badge with the last 4 characters of your key.

To change the key: paste the new key and press Save.

To remove the key: tick Remove the saved key and press Save. The badges then show only your own shop's parcels again.

Good to know

• Each search counts. Every number asked about uses one of the daily searches on your BD Courier plan. Your plan decides how many you get a day.
• Answers are kept for a day. A number already checked in the last 24 hours is not searched again, and a number already on screen is not asked twice.
• Searching by itself: while Check new numbers by themselves is on, a list asks about up to 15 new numbers per page. Turn it off to search only when someone clicks a badge or checks a number by hand.
• The key is kept locked (encrypted). After saving, only its last 4 characters are shown. An empty box keeps the saved key.
• Your own key, your own plan. Each store uses its own BD Courier key and sees only its own answers.

Common problems

• "BD Courier did not accept the API key. Check it in Security › Customer fraud check." The key is wrong or was changed in BD Courier. Copy it again and save.
• "Today's searches on your BD Courier plan are used up. It starts again tomorrow." Your daily searches are finished. Badges still show your own shop's record until then.
• "BD Courier could not be reached. Try again in a minute." BD Courier did not answer. Try again a little later.
