A blog brings visitors from Google when your posts answer the questions buyers type, such as "how to choose a summer three-piece". Link each post to the products it talks about, so a reader can buy in one click.
Where to find it
Admin › Online store › Pages & blog › Blog posts (পেজ ও ব্লগ)
The store owner always sees it. A staff member needs the Website pages & content and Products & stock ticks. Your posts show on your shop at yourshop.com/blog.
How it works
Every post gets its own page at yourshop.com/blog/ and an address made from its title. The /blog page lists your posts newest first. With the Default theme, your home page can show the latest 3 posts: switch on Blog posts in Store design › Home page (it is off at first). Once you have a published post, the shop footer links to Blog.
Google finds these pages and can show them when someone searches for that topic. A visitor who lands on a post can then follow your links to a product.
Tips
- Write what buyers ask. Use the questions your Facebook page and Inbox get every day, for example "Which fabric is best for summer?" or "How to measure a panjabi size".
- Put the main words in the title. "Cotton vs Linen Three-piece: Which Is Cooler in Summer?" works better than "New post".
- Link to your products. In Blog Details, select a word and use the editor's link button to add the product's address.
- Write a clear Blog Short Description. It shows under the picture on the post's page.
- Use your own photos. Add pictures inside the post with the editor's image button.
- Group posts. Use Blog categories and Blog tags so readers find similar posts.
- Post regularly. One good post a week is better than ten short ones in a day.
- Share each post on your Facebook page with a short line.
Good to know
- Your products need good SEO too. Fill in each product's SEO (Google) section, and your shop's title and description in Marketing & SEO › SEO settings.
- Connect Google Search Console in Tracking & codes › Google Analytics & Tag Manager. It shows which searches bring people to your posts.
- Connect Google Analytics in the same place to see your most visited pages.
- Results take time. Google does not show a new post at once, so keep writing.
