How do I write blog posts?

30 Oct 2026 2 min read বাংলায় পড়ুন

Go to Blog posts and press Create Blog. Add a title, a picture, a category, tags, a status and the post itself, then press Save. Your posts show on your shop at yourshop.com/blog.

Where to find it

Admin › Online store › Pages & blog › Blog posts

The store owner sees it. A staff member needs the Website pages & content and Products & stock access.

Step by step

  1. Make at least one category first in Admin › Online store › Pages & blog › Blog categories. Every post needs one.
  2. Go to Blog posts and press Create Blog.
  3. Write the Blog Title.
  4. Choose the Image. It is the post's main picture and is required.
  5. Pick a Blog Category.
  6. Add Blog Tags: pick tags you already made, or type a new one and press Enter.
  7. Choose the Status: Draft or Published.
  8. Write a Blog Short Description. It shows under the picture on the post's page.
  9. Write the post in Blog Details. Use the editor's image button to put pictures inside the text.
  10. Press Save. The post is added to the list with its category, status and picture.

Good to know

  • Its address. Each post opens at yourshop.com/blog/ followed by an address made from the title when you first save it. Changing the title later does not change the address.
  • The /blog page lists your posts newest first, 20 to a page.
  • Main picture size. The picture is saved at 800 × 800 pixels. Use a square picture so it is not stretched.
  • Pictures inside the post can be JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP, up to 5 MB each.
  • New tags typed in the post form take English small letters, digits, dashes and spaces, up to 20 per post. To use Bangla tag names, make them first in Blog tags.
  • Draft does not hide a post yet. Right now /blog lists Draft posts too. Save a post when it is ready to be read.
  • Editing and deleting. Use the pencil and bin icons in the list. Deleting a post also removes its main picture.

Common problems

  • "The category id field is required." Make a category in Blog categories first, then pick it.
  • "The featured image field is required." A new post needs a main picture.
  • "Only pictures (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP) up to 5 MB can be added." The file in the editor is not a picture, or it is too big. Make it smaller and try again.
