Press the paperclip in the answer box, choose up to 30 photos at once and press send. The photos are made smaller on your phone or computer first, then go out 5 at a time, each as its own message, so a slow line never stops the rest.
Where to find it
In a chat: Admin › CRM › Inbox › Inbox (সিআরএম › ইনবক্স), open the chat. On a phone, tap + and then the paperclip.
Step by step
- Open the customer's chat.
- Press the paperclip (Photo / video / file) and select the photos. You can also add photos from your saved product gallery.
- Wait while it says Preparing … photo(s)…. The send button works again when all are ready.
- Add a line of text if you like. It goes with the first photos.
- Press send. The photos show in the chat straight away and go out in groups of 5.
Good to know
- 30 at a time. Photos, files and gallery photos together. If you pick more, you see "At most 30 files at a time" and only the first ones are added.
- Made small first. A JPG, PNG or WebP photo bigger than 400 KB becomes a JPEG with its longest side 1600 pixels. It still looks sharp on a phone, sends quickly on mobile data and fits WhatsApp's limit.
- Each file up to 25 MB can be sent.
- WhatsApp's own limits (the Inbox tells you in plain words if a file breaks one):
| File | WhatsApp takes |
|---|---|
| Photo | JPG or PNG, at most 5 MB |
| Video | MP4 or 3GP, at most 16 MB |
| Sound | at most 16 MB |
| Document | at most 100 MB |
- Photos are fitted to WhatsApp. If a photo is in another format or is big, the store sends WhatsApp a JPEG copy (1600 px). Your original is not changed.
- One bad file does not stop the rest. If one group fails, only that message turns red. Tap tap to try again on it.
Example: Rangdhanu Fashion's seller picks 18 new sari photos for a customer. They go in 4 groups (5, 5, 5, 3), and the customer gets 18 photos one after another.
Common problems
- "WhatsApp takes photos only as JPG or PNG": the photo is in a format WhatsApp does not take. Save or screenshot it as JPG and send again.
- "A file can be at most 25 MB.": the file is too big. Make the video shorter or send a link.
- The send button stays grey. Photos are still being prepared. Wait a moment.
