How do I use the profit calculator?

The profit calculator tells you, before you set a price, how much one order of a product leaves you. Type the purchase price, selling price, marketing cost and delivery charge, and press Calculate Profit.

Where to find it

Admin › ERP › Accounts Department › Profit calculator (হিসাব বিভাগ). The page is called Auto Profit Calculator.

The store owner always sees it. For staff it belongs to the Payments & profit (owner) feature, which the user form marks as one to keep for the owner.

Step by step

  1. Open Profit calculator.
  2. Type the Product Purchase Price: what one piece costs you.
  3. Type the Selling Price: what the customer pays for it.
  4. Type the Marketing Cost: what you spend on ads for each order.
  5. Type the Delivery Charge: what you pay the courier for this order.
  6. Press Calculate Profit.

How it works

The calculator adds your costs and takes them from the selling price:

  • Total Cost = purchase price + marketing cost + delivery charge
  • Net Profit = selling price − total cost
  • Profit Margin and ROI = net profit ÷ total cost × 100. Both are worked out the same way: the profit as a share of what you spent.

The top line says Profit, Loss or Break-even.

Example: Rangdhanu Fashion buys a kurti for ৳300 and sells it for ৳550. Ads cost about ৳50 an order and delivery ৳120. Total cost is ৳470, net profit ৳80, and the percentage shows 17.02%.

Good to know

  • The purchase price and the selling price must both be more than 0, or no result appears. Marketing cost and delivery charge can stay empty.
  • Nothing is saved. The page only does the sum on your screen, so you can try as many prices as you like.
  • The delivery charge is counted as your cost. If the customer pays delivery on top of the price, leave it empty, or add what they pay to the selling price.
  • For the real profit of a month, from your delivered orders and expenses, use Profit & loss.

Common problems

  • No result after pressing the button. Check that both the purchase price and the selling price are filled in and above 0.
  • The link is missing for a staff member. It belongs to Payments & profit (owner), which opens for the store owner (Super Admin) only, even when ticked.
