Type a number in the Priority box next to the product on All products. Lower numbers come first, and products with no number come after all the numbered ones. The number saves as soon as you leave the box.
Where to find it
Admin › Online store › Products › All products, the Priority column.
You need the Products & stock feature to open the list. To change the priority, a staff member currently also needs the Website pages & content feature. The store owner can do both.
Step by step
- Go to Admin › Online store › Products › All products.
- To work on one group, pick it in Select Category. Only that category's products are listed.
- Click the Priority box of the product you want first and type 1.
- Press Tab or click outside the box. The number saves at once; no message appears.
- Give the next products 2, 3 and so on.
- Reload the page to check. The list is now in your order.
How it works
- Lower first. A product with priority 1 comes before one with 5. Products with an empty box come after all numbered products.
- One number per product. The same number is used everywhere the product is listed: the admin lists and your shop's product lists, search results and category pages.
- The customer's own sort wins. If a shopper sorts by price, name or newest, their choice is used instead.
Example: Rangdhanu Fashion wants its new Eid collection at the top. They give those five products 1 to 5 and leave the rest empty. The Eid products now lead every list they are in.
Good to know
- Leave gaps. Use 10, 20, 30 instead of 1, 2, 3. Later you can slot a new product in at 15 without renumbering the rest.
Common problems
- The number goes back after a reload. Your login cannot change priority. Ask the owner to add Website pages & content in Users & logins, or ask the owner to set it.
- The order on the shop looks different. Check whether a sort (price, name, newest) is chosen on that shop page.
