How do I edit many products at once?

Go to Products › Bulk edit, tick the products, then press Add Product Type or Remove Product Type and pick a type such as Featured or Best Selling. For showing, hiding or marking many products as recommended, tick them on All products and use the buttons at the top.

Where to find it

• Bulk edit: Admin › Online store › Products › Bulk edit. The page is called "Manage Products".
• All products: Admin › Online store › Products › All products, buttons above the list.

Both need the Products & stock feature. The store owner always has it.

Step by step

1. Go to Admin › Online store › Products › Bulk edit.
2. Narrow the list if you like: pick a category in Select Category, or search by name, description or SKU and press Submit.
3. Tick the products you want. The box in the header ticks every product on the page.
4. Press Add Product Type (or Remove Product Type to take it off).
5. Choose the type: Featured product, Flash Sale product, Today's Deal product, Hot Deal product, Special Offer product or Best Selling product.
6. Press Submit. The page reloads and the table shows Yes or No for each type.

How it works

• Product types decide which home page groups a product joins. For example, Rangdhanu Fashion ticks its Eid panjabis and adds Featured product, so they show in the featured part of the home page. Which groups appear depends on your design.
• A product can have several types at the same time.
• On All products, tick products and press Active (Recomm) or De-active (Recomm) to mark them recommended, or Show / Hide to show or hide them on the shop.
• The list shows 30 products a page. Work page by page, or narrow it with a category.

Good to know

• The type buttons and Show/Hide also need the Website orders feature for a staff member, at the moment. The owner can use them all.
• Prices and stock are changed on each product, with the edit icon in All products, or in Products › Stock for stock.

Common problems

• "Please Select a Product First !" You pressed Submit without ticking any product. Tick at least one and try again.
• Nothing happens when you press Add Product Type, Show or Hide. Your login has Products & stock but not Website orders. Ask the owner to add it in Users & logins, or ask the owner to make the change.
