Online store, ERP and CRM: which part do I need?

Online store is your website: products, design and website orders. CRM is your customers and the Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp inbox. ERP runs the business behind the shop: your Facebook-page sales team, courier, factory, staff, salaries and money. A small shop can start with the Online store alone and add the rest when it grows.

Where to find it

All three are parts of the admin sidebar: Admin › Online store, Admin › CRM and Admin › ERP. You see a part only if your job includes at least one of its screens.

How it works

Online store is for selling on your own website.

  • Website orders, products, categories and stock.
  • Shipping & returns, offers and coupons, store design, pages and blog.
  • Marketing & SEO, marketing channels (SMS, WhatsApp, email, YouTube, the website's live chat) and store reports.

CRM is for knowing and talking to your customers.

  • Inbox: Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp chats in one place, shared between your sellers.
  • Customers: each customer's history, follow-up tasks and product reviews.

ERP is for running the business itself, in four departments.

  • Sales Department: orders your sellers take on Facebook pages, the sales team, seller bonus, and courier parcels.
  • Production Department: factory work, suppliers and bills, sales from the factory.
  • HR Department: staff, attendance and payroll.
  • Accounts Department: cashbook, accounts, approvals, profit & loss and month summary.

An example. Rangdhanu Fashion sells only through its website. It uses the Online store, and the CRM's Customers list to follow up buyers. Later it starts selling on two Facebook pages with three sellers: now the CRM Inbox shares the chats, and ERP › Sales Department keeps each seller's orders and bonus. When it opens a small sewing unit, the Production and HR departments come in.

Good to know

  • The Online store is in every package. Other parts (for example the sales team, the chat inbox, accounts, factory, staff and salary, courier tabs) open in the packages that include them.
  • During the free trial everything is open except the CRM inbox (Premium only), so you can try the other parts before you choose.
  • If you open a part your package does not include, the screen tells you which package has it.
  • Some delivery screens sit in the Online store (Shipping & returns: returns tracking, shipping rules, delivery charges), while courier parcels sit in ERP › Sales Department › Courier & parcels.
  • The website's live chat is set up in Online store › Marketing channels › Live chat. The people who answer it see Live messages in My workspace.
