Where do my staff sign in, and where do my customers sign in?

Your team signs in at yourshop.com/admin with a username and password. Your shoppers have their own pages: yourshop.com/login to sign in and yourshop.com/register to make an account. The two never mix.

Where to find it

Who Address What they type
Owner and staff yourshop.com/admin Username and Password
Customers, sign in yourshop.com/login Phone number or email and Password
Customers, new account yourshop.com/register Name, Mobile number, Password (email and last name are optional)

If you use your own domain, the same addresses work on it. Each sign-in page links to the other: the staff page shows "Shopping with us? Customer sign-in", and the customer page shows "Work here? Staff sign-in".

How it works

The team always lands in the admin panel. Whichever form a team member uses (the staff page, the customer page, a password reset or Google), they go to their admin home:

  • the store owner to the CEO DASHBOARD;
  • staff to their own dashboard, named after their job (for example "Seller Dashboard").

If they had opened an admin link before signing in, they go back to that link, but only when it is a page of this store they may open.

Customers land on their account page (yourshop.com/dashboard) with their orders in your shop, or back on the shop page they came from.

A customer on the staff page is turned away. If a shopper types their right password on /admin, they are not signed in. The page says "This sign-in is for staff. Customers: sign in here →" with a link to the customer page.

Example: a Rangdhanu Fashion customer finds yourshop.com/admin and types their account details there. They see the message, tap the link and sign in on /login instead.

Good to know

  • Staff use their username only. The staff page asks for the Username your store gave them, not a phone or email.
  • Extra ways for customers. Sign in with an SMS code appears when your shop can send SMS. Continue with Google appears when Google sign-in is set up (your own keys or eCommerce Autopilot's).
  • One store's team stays in that store. A staff login of another store cannot sign in to yours.
  • Team members on customer pages are sent back to their admin home.

Common problems

  • "Wrong username or password. Please check them and try again." The username or password is not right for this store. Check for capital letters and spaces.
  • A staff member keeps seeing "This sign-in is for staff". Their login has only a customer role. Give them a team role in Admin › Administration › Users & access › Users & logins.
