Press Money transfer, choose the From account and the To account, pick How was it given?, write the amount and press Save. A Money transfer only moves money from one account to another. It is never income or expense, so no total goes up or down.
Where to find it
- Admin › ERP › Accounts Department › Cashbook (or My cashbook), button Money transfer (মানি ট্রান্সফার). In the entry form it is the third tab, next to Money out and Money in.
- The Money transfer shortcut at the top of the CEO dashboard, and on the dashboard of staff who hold cash.
- The Money transfer button on an account's statement.
The store owner (Super Admin) and staff with the Own cash wallet feature can use it. It replaces the old Cash out entry.
Step by step
- Press Money transfer.
- Choose the From account (where the money left) and the To account (where it went).
- Under How was it given? (কীভাবে দেওয়া হয়েছে?) pick Hand cash, Cash out from ATM or Cash out from mobile banking.
- Write the Amount (৳) and check the Date. Add a note or a receipt photo if you like.
- Press Save. The message says "Money transfer saved — ৳… from … to …".
Example: At Rangdhanu Fashion, Rina keeps the office cash. She takes ৳8,000 out at the ATM with the owner's card for the day's costs. She presses Money transfer on her dashboard, which opens with CEO Cash → Office cash already filled, picks Cash out from ATM, writes 8000 and saves. Later she writes each cost as Money out from Office cash.
Good to know
- From your own account, or into it. Staff can send money from an account given to them to any active account. They can also bring money into their own account from any account, like the ATM example. A move between two accounts that are not theirs is refused with "You cannot use this account."
- The shortcut on a staff dashboard opens with CEO Cash as From and the person's own cash as To. Change them if needed.
- It waits for the receiving side. A transfer into an account someone else looks after counts only after they confirm it, also when the owner sends it. See why a transfer waits.
- Staff entries need approval. Every money entry by anyone other than the Super Admin counts only after the Super Admin approves it in Need approval.
- Not an expense. Money out typed like "ATM" or "cash out" is refused, with a Money transfer button that switches the form.
- The way is kept on the entry. In the cashbook the line shows as Money moved (not income or expense).
Common problems
- "Choose two different accounts for a transfer." From and To are the same.
- "You cannot use this account." Neither account is yours. Ask the owner, or the person who holds the money, to enter it.
