Open the Cashbook, press Money transfer, choose the From account and the To account, write the amount and press Save. One account goes down, the other goes up, and your income, spending and profit stay the same.
Where to find it
Admin › ERP › Accounts Department › Cashbook (or My cashbook), button Money transfer. Inside the entry form it is the Money transfer tab, next to Money out and Money in.
The store owner (Super Admin) and staff with the Own cash wallet feature can use it.
Step by step
- In the Cashbook, press Money transfer.
- Tap a quick pick if one fits: Bank → Cash (ATM), bKash → Cash, Steadfast cash at hub → Cash or Cash → Bank (deposit). It fills both accounts and a note.
- Or choose the From account and the To account yourself.
- Under How was it given? keep Hand cash, or pick Cash out from ATM or Cash out from mobile banking.
- Write the Amount (৳) and check the Date.
- Add a Note or a receipt photo if you like.
- Press Save.
Example: Rangdhanu Fashion puts the day's shop cash of ৳25,000 in the bank. Tap Cash → Bank (deposit), write 25000 and save. CEO Cash goes down by ৳25,000, the bank goes up by ৳25,000, and the Money in and Money out totals do not change.
Good to know
- Not income, not expense. The row shows Money moved (not income or expense) with both accounts. The cashbook totals say "money moved between your accounts is not counted here".
- No category. A move has no category, quantity or "paid to", only How was it given?.
- Quick picks show only when both accounts exist, for example a bank account and a cash account.
- Your own account on one side. Staff can move money out of an account given to them into any active account, or into their own account from any account. A move between two accounts that are not theirs is refused.
- Into someone else's hands, it waits. A move into an account someone else looks after counts only when they confirm it, also when the owner sends it. Staff entries also wait for the Super Admin's approval (Need approval).
- Taking cash out is a move too. Money out with a category name like "cash out", "ATM" or "withdraw" is refused, because writing it as spending and then writing what you bought with that cash counts the money twice.
Common problems
- "Choose two different accounts for a transfer." From and To are the same account.
- "Taking money out of the bank / bKash is not an expense — enter it as a Money transfer…" Press the Money transfer button under the message and enter it there.
- "Money moved — waiting for … to confirm." The receiver has to confirm it first.
- A quick pick is missing. One of its two accounts is not there. Add it in Accounts, or choose the accounts by hand.
