CEO Cash is the store owner's own cash account. Every store has it in its cashbook from the start. It holds the cash in the owner's hands, and it is the account the app treats as "the owner's cash" when staff bring money into their own cash.
Where to find it
Admin › ERP › Accounts Department › Accounts: the CEO Cash row, with its balance and statement.
It also shows in the From account and To account lists of the cashbook form, and as the first line of Cash now on the CEO dashboard. Only the store owner (Super Admin) sees the Accounts page and the CEO dashboard.
How it works
- Made for every store. A new store gets CEO Cash as its first account. In older stores, the starter account called "Cash" was renamed CEO Cash. An account the store had named itself was left alone.
- Nobody else holds it. It has no Held by person and no place (factory or office), so it is the owner's own money.
- Your own moves count at once. A Money transfer from CEO Cash into your bank, or the other way, counts straight away. A staff member's transfer into CEO Cash waits for the Super Admin to confirm it.
- The staff shortcut starts here. On the dashboard of staff who hold cash, the Money transfer button opens with CEO Cash as From account and their own cash as To account, for example when the office takes money out at the ATM with the owner's card.
Example: At Rangdhanu Fashion the owner gives Rina ৳15,000 for the office. He makes a Money transfer from CEO Cash to "Office cash" with Hand cash. When Rina confirms, CEO Cash goes down by ৳15,000 and Office cash goes up by the same.
Good to know
- The CEO dashboard line is wider than the account. The CEO Cash line in Cash now adds up every active account set to Cash (yours) or with no place: CEO Cash itself, your banks, bKash and other wallets. Factory and office accounts show on their own lines.
- You can rename it with the pen icon on Accounts, like any account.
- Which account the shortcut picks. It takes your first active cash account that no one holds and that is not set to factory or office. In a new store that is CEO Cash.
