Your sizes live in one list at Admin › Online store › Products › Sizes. Type a size in Size Title and press Save. Every variable product then picks its sizes from this list, and the shop's product list lets shoppers filter by size.
Where to find it
Admin › Online store › Products › Sizes. The store owner sees it, and so does staff with the Products & stock feature ticked in Users & logins.
Step by step
- Go to Admin › Online store › Products › Sizes.
- Type one size in Size Title (for example "M", "L", "XL", "38" or "Free size").
- Press Save. Add the next size the same way.
- To rename a size, press the edit icon next to it, change the title and save.
- Now open a product, set Product Type to Variable, and choose a size (and colour) on each row, with its own price and stock.
How it works on your shop
- On a variable product's page, the shopper picks a size and colour before ordering. Each choice is one row you made on the product.
- The shop's product list (/products-list) has a Size filter with every size in your list.
- A size named exactly free (small letters) is not shown on the product page. Use it with the colour Default for a product row that has no real size or colour.
Good to know
- Rename instead of delete. A product row that uses a deleted size can stop its product page from opening. Before deleting a size, change the products that use it to another size.
- Keep one way of writing. "XL" and "xl" become two different sizes in the filter. Pick one style and keep it.
- Order your list. Sizes show in the order you add them, so add them small to big.
- Size charts: there is no separate size chart box. Put your chart in the product's Short Description or Product Body, as a small table or a photo, so shoppers see it before they choose.
- The size list is your shop's own. Other stores never see it.
Common problems
- The size I added is not on the product. Adding a size to the list does not add it to products. Open the product and add a row with that size.
- The Sizes link is missing. Your login does not have Products & stock. Ask the store owner to tick it.
