Which roles are there and what does each do?

There are 15 roles. A role is a starting point: picking it ticks the features that job needs, and you can then add or remove ticks for that one person. The store owner is always Super Admin.

Where to find it

Admin › Administration › Users & access › Users & logins. Open a person or press Add user. The roles are the cards under Role, each with a short line about the job.

How it works

Role What it is for
Super Admin Everything, always, including users, passwords and blocking. The store owner is always Super Admin.
Admin Runs the daily work: sales team and seller orders, courier, factory work, attendance, adding staff (without salaries), inbox and its settings, website orders, products, store design, delivery charges, supplier bills and payments. No dashboards, profit, cash balances, salaries, supplier dues or keys.
Manager Day-to-day: orders, products, customers, sales team, courier, goods received, own cash wallet, attendance.
Production Manager Runs the factory: cutting, sewing and QC work, daily work reports, mistakes and fines, workers' attendance, goods received and the factory's cashbook. Sees and prints orders; courier parcels to see only.
Marketing Manager Runs the online store and the sales team: seller orders, pages, inbox and customers, website orders, products, offers and courier parcels. Not the factory.
Supervisor Follows the sales chats: every inbox chat, moving them, follow-ups and response times, customers and tasks. No settings.
Store Manager Website orders only: see, confirm, change status, send to courier, print.
Courier Manager Courier work only: book parcels, track, statuses, return requests, print labels.
Moderator Handles orders and customers.
Seller Their own Facebook page: orders and daily numbers. Sees who cut, sewed and checked each order and tags a mistake to the person who made it.
Cutting Man Factory cutting: photographs each order page when its cutting is done.
Sewing Operator Factory sewing: the same, for sewing.
QC Man Quality check: the same, for QC.
Helper No fixed job: writes a daily work report and may submit cutting, sewing or QC as exceptional work.
Data Entry Man Sends every seller order to the courier and prints it (invoice and factory card).

The factory roles and Data Entry Man also see their own attendance, salary, tasks, requests and messages, when they have a staff profile.

Good to know

  • A role is not a lock. Two people with the same role can have different ticks.
  • Some rules follow the role itself, not the ticks. How far back courier data goes depends on the role: Admin 12 months, Manager 6, Marketing Manager 3, Production Manager 3 (to see only), Courier Manager and Seller 2. Changing overtime, forgiving a leave day and marking someone present without a card punch are for Super Admin and Admin.
  • Only the Super Admin makes someone an Admin. Ticks marked (owner) open for the Super Admin only, whatever role has them.
  • Older roles from before the tick boxes keep working until you open and save that person.

Common problems

  • No role fits exactly. Pick the closest one, then add or remove ticks. Each box says if it is needed, can be given, or is not usual for that role.
  • The Super Admin card is missing. Only a Super Admin sees it and can give it.
