Type the invoice, the parcel ID or the last digits of the customer's phone in Find an order, or press Scan and photograph the QR code on the factory card. The order opens with its photos big, the customer's video, what to make, who did each step and the notes to the seller.
Where to find it
- Factory workers (Cutting Man, Sewing Operator, QC Man, Helper) and the Production Manager: the Find an order — see its photos box at the top of their own dashboard (the first link in Admin › My workspace), and the Find an order button under it.
- Factory work (Admin › ERP › Production Department › Factory work): a small search box above the numbers.
- Submit work: the Find an order link under the page title.
- Everyone who may open orders: the 🔍 search icon in the top bar, and the search box of the phone menu. Type an invoice or a number there and press Find order "…".
How it works
What you can type. Spaces, dashes and capitals do not matter.
| You type | It finds |
|---|---|
| RF 1023, rf1023 or RF-1023 | The invoice RF1023 |
| The parcel ID, for example 184736291 | The order sent with that parcel |
| A tracking code | The order of that parcel |
| 4 digits, for example 5678 | Orders whose phone ends in 5678 |
| 5 or more digits | Orders whose phone has those digits |
| A name | Orders of customers with that name |
Scan instead of typing. Press Scan. The phone camera opens. Photograph the QR code (or barcode) on the factory card or A4 page. When it reads the code it searches by itself.
One match opens straight away. More matches are listed, newest first, with the invoice, customer, page, date, the number of photos, and marks such as 🎥 Video, Cancelled or a note badge. Tap one to open it.
The order's photo page (for factory people) shows no money:
- Photos: tap one to see it big. Swipe for the next one.
- Video: the customer's video, if the seller added one.
- What to make: colour / fabric, the details, and the special note in red.
- Cutting, Sewing and QC: who did each step and the date, or "not yet".
- Notes to the seller: write to the seller about this order.
Example: at Rangdhanu Fashion a cutting man has a crumpled factory card and cannot read the measurements. He presses Scan, photographs the card's QR code, and RF1023 opens. He looks at the customer's 6 photos big and plays the customer's video before he cuts.
Who can use it
| Who | Which orders | Opens as |
|---|---|---|
| Cutting Man, Sewing Operator, QC Man, Helper | Every order | Photo page (no money) |
| Super Admin, Admin, Manager | Every order | Full order page |
| Production Manager | Every order | Photo page (no money) |
| A seller | Orders of their own pages | Full order page |
| Others who see seller orders (courier, print) | The orders they see in the order list | Full order page |
Good to know
- Read-only. The photo page cannot change the order. People who may open the full order see a Full order button.
- Your store only. A number from another store finds nothing.
- Up to 30 results are listed. Type more of the number to narrow them.
Common problems
- "Could not read the code — take the photo closer, or type the invoice." Hold the phone closer, with the whole QR code in the photo and in good light. Or type the invoice.
- "No order found for …" Check the number on the card. For a phone, type at least the last 4 digits.
- There is no search box on my dashboard. It shows for factory people. Office staff use the 🔍 icon in the top bar.
