Exceptional work is a factory step a person does outside their own job. A Sewing Operator who cuts an order, or a Helper who does QC, submits it as exceptional work. It is saved and shown with a ⚡ mark, but it does not count towards their target.
Where to find it
On Admin › My workspace › Submit work, under Exceptional work — pick one when you did work outside your own job. The other steps are listed there as buttons.
A Helper also sees Exceptional work: Cutting, Exceptional work: Sewing and Exceptional work: QC buttons on their dashboard.
How it works
Each factory job has its own step:
| Job | Own step |
|---|---|
| Cutting Man | Cutting |
| Sewing Operator | Sewing |
| QC Man | QC |
| Helper, Manager, Admin, Super Admin | None |
- The worker opens Submit work. Their own step is picked first.
- If they did a different step, they press that step's button. The page shows an Exceptional work label.
- They photograph the order page and submit, as usual.
- The entry is saved as exceptional because the step is not their own job.
For example, a Sewing Operator at Rangdhanu Fashion cuts two orders on a busy day. Those two count as their exceptional work. Their sewing target stays the same.
Good to know
- People with no own step. For a Helper, and for the office, every step they submit is exceptional work. They have no target.
- Where it shows. On Factory work, entries carry ⚡ Exceptional. The Targets table and the person's page list the exceptional steps next to the target. Who did how many has an ⚡ Exceptional column.
- In the download. The Excel file has an Exceptional column.
- It is decided by the job. The panel compares the step with the job on the login. Change the job in Users & logins if someone has moved to another step for good.
- Who can submit. Any login with Factory work: submit cutting / sewing / QC, and the office, can submit every step.
Common problems
- A worker's own step shows as exceptional. Their login's job is not the matching factory job. Check it in Admin › Administration › Users & access › Users & logins.
- "Done" is lower than all the work the person did. That is expected: exceptional work is shown next to the target, not counted in it.
