What does Google see about my products (rich results)?

Every product page of your shop carries hidden data for Google (called structured data, or JSON-LD) with the product's real price, stock, photos and rating. Google can use it to show extra details, such as the price or stars, under your link. You do not need to set anything up; the shop builds it from your product.

Where to find it

There is no screen for it. It is made from what you already enter in Admin › Online store › Products › All products: name, price, discount, stock, photos, brand, SKU and the SEO (Google) section. Ratings come from reviews you approve.

To see it, paste a product's address into Google's Rich Results Test.

How it works

For a Rangdhanu Fashion product, Google is told:

What Where it comes from
Name and description The product name and the start of its description
Price and currency The price the shop really sells at, after discount; for a product priced through its variations, the first variation's price
In stock / Out of stock The product's stock number
Photos The main photo and up to 8 gallery photos
Brand and SKU When you have set them
Rating and number of reviews Approved reviews only; none until there is at least one
Seller Your shop's name

Each product page also gets a breadcrumb (Home › Category › Product), which Google can show instead of the plain address.

Other pages get their own data too: the home page describes your shop (name, logo, phone, social links) and the search box of your site; blog posts are marked as articles; brand pages list their products.

Good to know

  • Nothing is made up. No fake stars, prices or reviews. Pending or rejected reviews never count.
  • Google decides what to show. Correct data makes rich results possible, but Google chooses when to show them.
  • Link previews. Every page also has Open Graph tags (title, description, picture) for Facebook, WhatsApp and Messenger, and a canonical tag that names the page's one true address.
  • Default product title. With no SEO title of its own, a product's title is "product name Price in Bangladesh | your shop name".
  • No price, no offer. A product with a price of 0 is described without a price.

Common problems

  • Stars are not showing in Google. Approve some reviews, then wait for Google to read the page again. Google may still choose not to show them.
  • Google shows the wrong price. Check the product's price and discount in its form, save, and wait for Google to visit again.
