Go to Admin › Online store › Products › Brands, type the brand's name in Brand Title and press Save. Then open each product and pick it in Brand. Shoppers find your brands at yourshop.com/brands, and each brand opens a page with its products.
Where to find it
Admin › Online store › Products › Brands. The store owner sees it, and so does staff with the Products & stock feature ticked in Users & logins.
Step by step
- Go to Admin › Online store › Products › Brands.
- Type the brand name in Brand Title (for example "Rangdhanu").
- Press Save. The brand appears in the list.
- Open a product (All products, then the edit icon) or Add Product.
- In Brand, pick the brand. Choose No brand if it has none.
- Press Update (or Save for a new product).
To change or remove a brand, use the edit or delete icon next to it in Brands. The edit window also has the brand's SEO (Google) section (SEO title, Meta description, page address), Brand page text, Logo and Logo alt text.
How it works on your shop
- /brands lists your brands by name, each with how many products it has (only products shown on your shop are counted).
- A brand's page (for example yourshop.com/brands/rangdhanu) shows that brand's products, 24 a page, with its logo and page text when you add them. With no products it says "No products from this brand yet."
- The address is made from the name when you add the brand. Old number addresses (yourshop.com/brands/3) and a changed address send shoppers to the current one with a permanent (301) redirect.
- The Brand box on the product form only offers your own store's brands.
For example, Rangdhanu Fashion adds "Rangdhanu" and "Megh" as brands and picks one on each panjabi. A shopper opens Brands, taps Megh and sees only Megh panjabis.
Good to know
- One brand per product. Use Tags for extra words.
- Logo and text are optional. Open the brand's edit window to add a logo (JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 2 MB) and a few lines about the brand.
- Fabrics are separate. Fabrics no longer appear on the /brands page. They stay as the Fabrics filter on the product list.
- Brand names are your shop's own. Another store can use the same name without any clash.
Common problems
- A brand shows 0 products. No product has it picked yet, or its products are hidden. Pick it in Brand on the products.
- Brands I made as Fabrics no longer show on /brands. Add them in Products › Brands and pick them on the products.
- The Brands link is missing. Your login does not have Products & stock. Ask the store owner to tick it.
