When a customer places an order on your website, a notification appears under the bell at the top of the admin panel for the store owner and the staff. Click it to open the order; it is then marked as read.
Where to find it
- The bell in the top bar, on every admin page. A red number shows how many notifications you have not read yet.
- Admin › My workspace › Notifications (
/admin/notifications) — the full list. Staff see this link in their sidebar; the owner opens the same page from the bell with View all notifications.
Who receives them: the store owner and everyone with an admin panel login in your store. Customer accounts never see them.
How it works
- A customer at Rangdhanu Fashion orders a kurti on the website.
- Everyone on the team gets a notification: New order #1052, with the customer's name or phone number, the amount (for example ৳1,850) and how long ago it came.
- The bell shows the 8 latest notifications. Unread ones are highlighted.
- Click a notification: the order opens, and that notification counts as read — for you only. Each person has their own read and unread list.
On the Notifications page you have three tabs: Unread, All and Read, each with its count, 30 to a page. Each line shows the date and time of the order.
Good to know
- Mark all read (in the bell, or at the top of the Notifications page) clears your unread count in one click. It does not change the orders.
- Only orders customers place on the website create a notification. Orders your team types into the admin panel do not, and neither do unfinished checkouts.
- Notifications belong to this store only. If you work in more than one store, each store shows its own.
- The bell is a reminder, not the work list. Your real list of orders to confirm is still the website orders page.
Common problems
- The bell says "No notifications yet." — No customer has placed a website order yet, or the orders were entered from the admin panel.
- A staff member does not get notifications. — Check that they sign in with their own admin login (Administration › Users & access › Users & logins), not a customer account.
- "You are all caught up." — You are on the Unread tab and have read everything. Open All to see older ones.
