When the customer pays the rest, open Customer dues, press Collect due on their sale, write how much they paid and into which account, and press Collect. If they paid everything, press Mark fully paid. Each collection is saved as a new money-in entry, so the old sale stays as it was.
Where to find it
- Admin › ERP › Accounts Department › Customer dues (হিসাব বিভাগ › কাস্টমারের বকেয়া), the Collect due button on each row.
- The cashbook: the Collect button on a sale that still has a due. The cashbook also has a Customer dues button at the top.
Step by step
- Find the sale on Customer dues. Search by name, phone or reference if the list is long.
- Press Collect due. A window shows the customer and the due.
- Amount collected (৳) starts at the whole due. Change it if they paid part, for example 800 of ৳1,800.
- Check the Date (today, or the day you got the money; not before the sale and not in the future).
- Pick Into account: where the cash went.
- Add a Note if you like, for example "paid by bKash".
- Press Collect. The message says, for example, "৳800.00 collected from … — ৳1,000.00 still due."
Paid everything? Press Mark fully paid instead and confirm. The whole due is entered as collected now, into the account you picked.
Example: at Rangdhanu Fashion a shop owes ৳1,800 from a sale on 3 November. On 10 November he pays ৳800 in cash: the Production Manager collects ৳800 into the factory cash. On 20 November he pays the rest by bKash: she presses Mark fully paid with the bKash account. The sale now shows Paid.
How it works
- A new entry each time. Every collection is a money-in entry in the category Due collection (বকেয়া আদায়), linked to the sale, with the same customer, phone and reference.
- No approval needed. Nothing old is changed, so it does not wait for the owner.
- Money in grows by what was collected, on the day it was collected.
- The sale row in the cashbook then shows "collected later ৳…" and the due left, or Paid.
Who can collect
| Who | Which dues |
|---|---|
| Store owner (Super Admin), Admin, Production Manager | Every customer's due |
| Others with Own cash wallet (for example a Manager) | Only the dues they entered themselves |
Everyone collects only into the accounts they may use.
Common problems
- "The due is ৳… — collect that much or less." You wrote more than is owed. Write the due or less.
- "This sale is already fully paid." Someone already collected it. Look at the Paid tab.
- "The collection cannot be before the sale." Pick a date on or after the sale's date.
- "You cannot use this account." Pick one of your own accounts.
- A wrong collection. It is an ordinary cashbook entry: ask the owner to delete or change it.
