Open Admin › Online store › Store design › Theme colours, pick your Website Colors (primary, secondary and accent) and press Save Changes. The same page also sets the colours of your admin panel.
Where to find it
Admin › Online store › Store design › Theme colours. The page is called Color Settings. The store owner can open it, and so can staff with the Website design tick (the Admin role has it).
Step by step
- Open Theme colours.
- Under Website Colors, click the colour box next to Primary Color and pick your main brand colour.
- Do the same for Secondary Color and Accent Color. The colour code (for example #04415f) shows next to each box.
- If you like, change the three Admin Panel Colors too. They only change how your admin panel looks.
- Press Save Changes. You see "Colors updated successfully."
- Open your shop in a new tab to see the new colours. If it still shows the old ones, refresh the page.
Example: Rangdhanu Fashion's logo is deep green and gold. The owner sets the primary colour to the green, the secondary colour to a darker green and the accent colour to a light cream, so buttons and headings match the logo.
Good to know
- The Default theme uses these colours. When another store theme is on, the shop uses that theme's own colours instead, so changes here do not show on the shop. To use your own colours, apply the Default theme in Store themes.
- Custom landing pages use your website colours too.
- Pick colours that are easy to read: dark text on a light accent, or white text on a dark primary colour.
- All six boxes must have a colour when you save.
Common problems
- I saved but the shop looks the same. A theme other than Default is on. Check On your shop now in Store themes.
- "You do not have access to: Website design." Ask the store owner to give you the Website design tick in Users & logins.
