How do I add a customer by hand?

Open the Customers list in the CRM, press Add customer, type the mobile number (and a name and email if you have them) and press Add. If that number has ordered before, its orders are linked by themselves.

Where to find it

Admin › CRM › Customers › Customers › Add customer

The button shows only for logins with CRM — work with customers. Admin, Manager, Supervisor and Moderator get it with their role. A Store Manager or Seller can be given it. The store owner always has it.

Step by step

  1. Go to Admin › CRM › Customers › Customers.
  2. Press Add customer.
  3. Type the Mobile number, for example 01XXXXXXXXX. This is the only box you must fill.
  4. Add the Name and Email if you know them.
  5. Press Add. The customer's profile opens with "Customer added."
  6. On the profile, fill in Address, District, Birthday, Looked after by and Tags if you like, then press Save.

Good to know

  • One customer per number. The number is saved as 01XXXXXXXXX, however you type it (+880, 880, spaces or dashes are fine).
  • Already there? If the number is already a customer, nothing new is made. Their profile opens with "This number is already a customer."
  • Past orders link up. Any orders this number placed before are counted at once.
  • No orders yet? The customer sits in the No orders group until they order. From their first order, they move to New, Repeat or VIP by themselves.
  • Hand-added customers stay. They are never removed by the automatic clean-up, even with no orders.
  • Example: a buyer from Rangdhanu Fashion's stall asks for a call when new stock comes. Add her number, tag her "Follow up", and set a follow-up task.

Common problems

  • "Please enter a valid mobile number." The number is empty or too short. Check the digits and try again.
  • There is no Add customer button. The login has only CRM — see customers. Add CRM — work with customers in Admin › Administration › Users & access › Users & logins.
