No. Your shop's checkout does not offer PayPal any more. Customers pay cash on delivery, or online with one of the methods you switch on in Online payments.
Where to find it
The payment methods your shop takes are set in Admin › Administration › Settings › Online payments. There is no PayPal card there, and no PayPal box in the store's information settings.
How it works
PayPal was taken out of every store's checkout:
- the PayPal choice and the PayPal button are gone from the checkout page;
- the old PayPal settings are gone from the admin panel;
- the eCommerce Autopilot main site no longer lists PayPal as an integration.
Old orders are safe. Nothing was deleted. An order a customer paid by PayPal before keeps its payment status and its payment record, and still shows them when you open it.
Example: Rangdhanu Fashion had two PayPal orders last year. Both still show as paid. A new customer at checkout now sees cash on delivery and the online methods the shop has switched on, such as bKash or SSLCommerz.
Good to know
- What customers can use instead. Cash on delivery is always there. You can add SSLCommerz, bKash, aamarPay, ShurjoPay and Send money (bKash, Nagad, Rocket or Upay with a transaction ID). Each one uses your own merchant account.
- Card payments. SSLCommerz, aamarPay and ShurjoPay take cards. Ask your gateway which cards your merchant account accepts.
- Nothing to switch off. You do not need to change any setting. PayPal simply does not appear.
Common problems
- A customer asks to pay by PayPal. Offer cash on delivery or one of your online methods.
- An old order shows "PayPal". That is its history. It stays as it was paid.
