To pause a connected page, open Inbox settings and press the On button next to it. It changes to Off, and new messages from that page stop coming into your Inbox. Press it again to turn the page back on.
Where to find it
Admin › CRM › Inbox › Inbox settings, in the box 3. Connected pages.
Pausing (On / Off) needs the Inbox settings tick: Admin gets it with the role, and the store owner always has it. Removing a page (with its token) is for the store owner only.
Step by step
- Go to Admin › CRM › Inbox › Inbox settings.
- In 3. Connected pages, find the page, Instagram account or WhatsApp number.
- Press On next to it. The button turns yellow and says Off, and a note confirms that its new messages are not taken.
- To start again, press Off. It turns back to On.
Good to know
- Old chats stay. Turning a page off does not delete anything. Its chats, messages, photos and orders stay in the Inbox and in your reports.
- Messages sent while it is off are not brought in later. If a customer writes while the page is off, that message does not come into the Inbox, even after you turn the page back on. Answer such customers from Facebook, or keep the page on.
- Every channel the same way. Facebook pages, Instagram accounts and WhatsApp numbers all have the same On / Off button.
- No delete button. A connected page is turned off rather than deleted, so its history is kept.
- New token. If you need to change a page's token, connect the same page again in the form below the list. It is saved with the new token and turned on.
- Under each page you see when its last message came in, or the last error from Facebook.
Common problems
- Customers say they wrote, but nothing came in. Check that the page shows On. Then open the box For the Meta app (webhook) and look at Last calls from Meta for errors.
- The page shows an error under its name. Connect it again with a fresh page token from Facebook.
