How does the wishlist work?

Customers save a product by tapping the heart on its product card or on the product page. Their saved products are listed at yourshop.com/wishlist, where they can remove them or add them to the cart. A wishlist needs a customer account, so guests are asked to sign in first.

Where to find it

There is no wishlist setting in the admin panel. It works on your shop by itself.

  • The heart: on product cards (the classic layout and the store themes) and on the product page, next to the order buttons, with the word Wishlist.
  • The list: yourshop.com/wishlist. Signed-in customers also find a Wishlist link in their account menu, next to Dashboard, Orders and Account Details.

How it works

  1. A customer taps the heart. If they are signed in, the product is saved and the heart fills in.
  2. Tapping a filled heart takes the product off the list again.
  3. A guest who taps the heart is sent to the sign-in page. After signing in, they come back to the page they were on and can tap the heart again.
  4. On My wishlist they see each product with its picture, name and price, and:
    • Add to cart for a simple product in stock,
    • Choose options for a product with sizes or colours (it opens the product page),
    • Out of stock when nothing is left,
    • Remove to take it off the list.

Example: a shopper at Rangdhanu Fashion saves three panjabis before Eid, then comes back a week later, opens Wishlist and adds one to the cart.

Good to know

  • One list per shop. A customer's wishlist on your shop is separate from any list they keep on another shop.
  • Only visible products. A product you hide or delete disappears from customers' wishlists.
  • You do not see wishlists. There is no wishlist report in the panel and no "price dropped" message to customers.

To follow up interested shoppers, use what the panel keeps:

  • Unfinished checkouts. A shopper who starts the checkout and leaves is kept as an incomplete order with their phone number.
  • Customers and follow-up tasks. Admin › CRM › Customers › Customers and Follow-up tasks let you add notes and set reminders.

Common problems

  • Tapping the heart opens the sign-in page. The customer is not signed in. After signing in, they are brought back and can save the product.
  • A saved product is missing from the list. It was hidden or deleted in your panel.
